Ph.D. & Doctoral studies

The doctoral school trains researchers in theoretical and applied economics.

After obtaining a master's degree, students may continue their cursus to obtain a Ph.D. ("doctorat").
During the Ph.D. period, students follow the research seminars and courses of the doctoral school and write a thesis. This gives them access to careers in Higher Education or in Research in major
companies, administrations or research organizations.

PhD students at the faculty are hosted by the Center for Research in Economics and Management - CREM. CREM is a joined research unit of the National Center for Scientific Research - CNRS and Université de Rennes 1. CNRS is the largest fundamental research organization in France, that carries out research in all fields of knowledge.
